unit 7

Most nights, I have meditated before going to bed....it is my relaxation time.  It helps me to clear my mind from the days events so that I can sleep better.  By doing it on a regular basis, I hope to eventually get to the point of "inner freedom" that was refereed to in the exercise.  As for the quote  of not being able to lead where you have not gone, I think that without some kind of knowledge/experience of a journey, it would be hard to lead someone on that same path.  You may be able to still lead someone, but you may not be able to truly empathize as to what they may be going though on their journey, and knowing what they are facing can help you to problem solve when issues arise.  And the same applies to being on a path of well-being, so I do think that anyone who is looking for a career in helping others is practicing what they preach, otherwise, I do not think they will be very successful.

  1. Hello,

I too have started a couple units ago practicing these exercises at night. i think it is nice after a long days works to sit down and try to relax, these exercises are already relaxing but when you its later and less chaos it help more. I was in different with this quote but agree with you on the fact that if you have not truly been through what that person is going through or feeling you cannot relate to their feeling or emotions. I think it is best to practice what you preach; this will help you and your teaching to others. This will be beneficial to your career in the health field, the more you’ve experienced the more you can understand and relate.

  2. Good afternoon, I as well as you guys have been doing these practices at night in bed, I feel it helps me wind done and sleep better. I also utilize them mid-day as well as I find it a good way to slow down and recenter myself for the rest of the day. I also agree wholeheartedly on not leading where you have not been. You are uncertain of the issues that may arise and by encountering these problems you could possibly place yourself and your followers in danger.
